How many years have you been in the industry?
Annie: 2 years.

Are you an early bird or night owl?
Annie: Night owl for sure!

What were your first jobs?
Annie: I did a lot of baby sitting as a teen, but my first job was as a hostess at a Sushi restaurant.

What’s the biggest misconception about your industry?
Annie:  I think the biggest misconception about this industry is that some folks think that historic preservation is “too complicated, too hard, not worth the effort”. We live in a culture that teaches us that newer is always better, but in my experience taking the time to fix something and make it new again is always valuable in and of itself!

What advice would you give your teenage self?
Annie:  Don’t ever let anyone else tell you what you’re capable of, don’t let others set your limits. Being your authentic self is the best thing you can be!

What’s the one thing people don’t know about you?
Annie: I love to dance! I’m often embarrassed in front of others, but when I’m alone, I’m probably dancing to my favorite music.

What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
Annie: Any time someone has told me that I’ve genuinely helped them in some way is always the highest compliment in my mind.
