Name: Door Restoration

Location: Milwaukee, WI – Lower East Side 

Problem: Exterior Doors were weathered with areas of deterioration and in need of repairs.

Solution Provided: We proposed restoration work for the exterior sides of the wooden entry access doors, including door and transom casings on the south side of the church, taking a proactive approach to address various potential issues commonly associated with exterior wooden doors. The completed on-site wood entry door refinishing involved removing the existing finish to near bare wood on doors, trim, and transom windows. The hardware was wire brushed for optimal bonding, the wood was neutralized post-stripping, and wood repairs included filling splits for longevity. The elements were meticulously cleaned, followed by the application of a matching wood stain and three coats of UV-protectant gloss polyurethane. Cast hardware was carefully painted, and adjustments were made for improved operability and weather tightness.
