The Thoughtful Craftsmen team has always loved porches, in part because porches have the highest concentration of architectural details on the home’s exterior. Getting these details right will mean the difference between a misshapen goiter or an embellishment of the home’s perfect lines. Our porches are easy to pick out from the crowd.

If you look at some of our porches, you’ll see how the rail, skirting, and columns are properly sized and proportioned, enhancing the architectural style of the home. We build the finest and most authentic rails in the Milwaukee area. Assembling them in our state-of-the-art-shop, we cut, space, and size things precisely yet efficiently, glue and clamp components, and completely prime them before they ever meet the elements.
