How many years have you been in the industry?
Raine: 6 years.
Are you an early bird or night owl?
Raine: Wake up early and stay up all day. Mostly an early bird.
What were your first jobs?
Raine: Carpentry job – 18 years old. Northcott Neighborhood house. The supervisor there was looking for my twin about a job, but once I told him I was interested I was able to start right away.
What’s the biggest misconception about your industry?
Raine: People think a measuring tape solves everything and it doesn’t.
What advice would you give your teenage self?
Raine: Stay focused on your goals, don’t get deterred with nonsense.
What’s the one thing people don’t know about you?
Raine: I’m a great basketball player. Position – Small forward.
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
Raine: I was told that I was taller than the house I was standing in. My partners’ younger cousin had all of the other kids come over and told everyone that I was taller than the house.
