Toni: 13 years
Are you an early bird or night owl?
Toni: Both
What were your first jobs?
Toni: Popeyes Chicken, and I used to watch the maintenance worker come in and fix stuff. I
wanted to be that guy.
What’s the biggest misconception about your industry?
Toni: That women can’t do it
What advice would you give your teenage self?
Toni: I should’ve gone with my first mind when I had my first experience with carpentry. You,
yourself, are your only motivation and crunch.
What’s the one thing people don’t know about you?
Toni: I came from the darkest place ever – at one point in time I was a felon at the age of 17. I’m 30
years younger now. I’ve gone into business alone and expanded. Being a felon isn’t the end, you just
have to be resourceful.
What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
Toni: That I’m always humble
