Name: Window Relocation

Location: Whitefish Bay

Problem: Owners of the home wanted the historic window to be restored and moved.

Solution Provided: All the work was performed in conjunction with a mason. We started by removing the existing window and set it aside. Next, we cut the existing framing and sheathing to relocate the window, reframing the rough opening at owner-indicated height. We filled in any sheathing and installed house wrap as needed. At our Shorewood shop, we restored the historic window, keeping the original decorative glass and matching the existing wood details. Afterward, we reinstalled the window to the new opening.
