We began the work with the removal of windows for repairs and temporary boarding. Any failing glazing was replaced with Sarco Dual M Glaze. The interior of the top and bottom sashes were lightly scuff-sanded, cleaned, and refinished to match the existing finish. The exterior of the sashes was stripped, primed, and painted with two coats of Sherwin Williams paint. When we installed the restored windows new sash cords were also installed, and top sashes were securely fixed into their openings. The hardware was adjusted for a tight latch, and the windows were ensured to operate smoothly and latch tightly. To finish, the glass was thoroughly cleaned for the job to be completed.
